Our Lady of Armenia Choir
Tuesday 9 July 2019, at 8 pm

The Our Lady of Armenia Choir will perform at the Boghossian Foundation for an exceptional evening. Led by maestro Robert Mlkeyan, the thirty-six young talents will interpret a repertoire which blends cultural influences from the East and the West, including hymns, Armenian liturgical compositions, religious music by Komitas, and repertoires from classical Armenian and international composers.

Founded in 2005 by the Armenian Sisters of the Immaculate Conception, the choir consists of young children, many of whom live at the Boghossian Educational Center in Gyumri, in Armenia. The choir is internationally-renowned, and has performed in France, Switzerland, Lebanon and Italy, where, in 2015, they participated in a mass celebrated by His Holiness Pope Francis, dedicated to the centenary of the Armenian Genocide.
