The Boghossian Foundation invites the Members of the Circle of the Villa to a trip to Georgia, a distant country, which is not completely unknown either, Under guidance of Professor of Byzantine, Armenian and Georgian Studies; Honorary Rector of the UCL.
Georgia lies between the Black and the Caspian Sea, on the southern flank of the Caucasus. Numerous peoples have passed by in the course of the centuries, each with their own influences, with which the Georgians have forged a rich and original culture. Their architecture, goldsmith’s art, literature and gastronomy bear witness to this. Its location, at the interface of Europe and Asia, the West and the East, makes the country a melting pot of cultures.
The Boghossian Foundation will take you on a journey of discovery, a travel through history, in search of the roots of this fascinating culture and its most beautiful expressions. An introduction to Georgia as an important link in the contemporary geopolitical field of tension.
