Practical information

The legend speaks of an exorcist and ghosts. Some have heard of the Germans and their celebrations, others of the Russians or RTL journalists. Traces of looting, squatting and abandonment become apparent.

For this second participation in the Museum Night Fever, the Foundation invites the company Le Geste qui Sauve to bring the Villa to life between two exhibitions. With the Echo project, the company exports theatre out of the dedicated spaces and invites the spectators to take action, induces a dialogue between the performing and visual arts and plunges you into the real or fantasized history of this iconic villa of Brussels history.

For 7 hours continuously, three performers – an actress, a light designer and an electro-acoustic composer – revisit the Villa Empain, its spaces, its past, its shadow and light zones. When gesture, light and sound intersect and converse. When the luminous substances come to life. When perception and vision are disturbed.
