Summer Party
Sunday 19 August 2018, from 11 am to 6 pm

Practical information

For the third edition of its Summer Party, the Boghossian Foundation invites you to celebrate the summer around the finissage of Melancholia.

The perfect opportunity to discover – or rediscover – the exhibition with friends and family during a festive afternoon rich in culture, music, sunshine and poolside drinks.

From 4 pm, the swimmers of Brass will enchant the Villa with their aquatic performances and Darko will offer a mix of contemporary electronic music, echoing the mission of the Boghossian Foundation, as a centre for art and dialogue between Eastern and Western cultures.

About Darko
Passionate about music since he was a teenager, Alain Benitsy is the man behind the mythical Statik Dancin’ parties. Mixing minimal house with cutting edge techno, Darko was the first resident DJ at the Palais des Beaux Arts, for which he created the Brussels Electronic Music Festival in 2008. Renowned for his eclectic sets, Darko signed soundtracks for the fashion shows of the Antwerp Academy, La Cambre Mode and Barbara Bui; he also regularly collaborates with prestigious fashion houses such as Louis Vuitton and Sonia Rykiel. Darko DJs in Belgium’s best nightclubs and festivals, including I Love Techno, Dour, Le Fuse, Silo and les Transardentes.

About Brass
Founded in Brussels in 2005, BRASS or Brussels Aquatic Synchro Swimming has around 170 passionate swimmers. Beyond their engagement in the world of competition, where they have proven to be admirable competitors for more than 10 years, and gala shows, the club aims to promote this discipline which combines gymnastics, choreography, and swimming which is unfamiliar to the general public.
