Pauline Bonnet is an emerging artist who’s ceramic practice highlights the importance of formal characteristics such as colors, materials and patterns. She imagines sets of sophisticated objects that question the status of decorative art while exploring the correlative relationship between interior and interiority: a dialogue between the home and the self. In an effort to renew the forms and skills specific to the arts of fire, she creates evocative pieces, both objects and subjects, which inhabit as much as they shelter. Her domestic objects feature an elsewhere, materialise a fictional interior, to which the viewer is invited to project his own fantasies into it.

Pauline Bonnet is a laureate of the Boghossian Foundation Prize in 2020.
