Dance at the Villa

One week to discover the Villa Empain in a different way, to give a new meaning to the space and to create a physical architecture. During this danced adventure observation and imagination will be the key words. The children and animators will take possession of the space by dancing and write together a new story in a place out of time and full of history, they will invent movements and build a body architecture.

Florian Boutin is a dancer and architect. He trained in Rennes, Quebec City and Brussels where he obtained a Certificate in Dance and Choreographic Practices from Charleroi Danse-La Raffinerie. He has since had the opportunity to work with various choreographers as a performer and to develop a pedagogical activity by leading workshops in dance and architecture. His artistic work aims to establish a stronger link between the body and the city through poetic, political and sensorial means.

Mallaury is a dancer, performer and photographer. Currently in her final year of a master’s degree at the Institut supérieur des arts et des chorégraphies in Brussels, her choreographic work revolves around the intelligence of the body and her practice questions our relationship to it by creating new sensory and anatomical mythologies.
