L’homme qui peint des gouttes d’eau

The Boghossian Foundation invites you to discover the film L’homme qui peint des gouttes d’eau at the Brussels Art Film Festival. This film about the renowned Korean artist Kim Tschang-Yeul echoes his paintings, sculptures and installations presented at the Villa Empain as part of the exhibition Water.

All his life, Korean artist Kim Tschang-Yeul painted variations on a single motif: the drop of water. Sometime before his passing, his son Oan Kim decided to make a film in order to get closer to his father and shed light on this man who was silent and mysterious. With the help of his partner Brigitte Bouillot, he discovers the dark hours of the life of his father and finally understands his work, which may have acted as a consolation for him.
