Who is Zelensky?

Ariane Chemin has a degree in classics and is a graduate of Sciences Po Paris. She is a senior reporter at Le Monde, where she writes long investigations and series, both political and otherwise. She is the author of several books (and documentaries) and has published a dozen works, including documents such as La Femme fatale (Albin Michel, 2007, with Raphaëlle Bacqué) or Didier Raoult, une folie française (Gallimard, 2021, with Marie-France Etchegoin), Mariage en douce, about the union of Romain Gary with Jean Seberg (Equateurs, 2016), or A la recherche de Milan Kundera, published by Sous-sol (2021). In 2023, in Le Monde, she will write a long portrait of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, from his Soviet childhood to his status as a war leader. Ariane Chemin won the Prix Hachette in 2004 for a series of articles in Le Monde, the Prix Bernard Mazières for political books for Le mauvais génie (with Vanessa Schneider) and the Prix littéraire Hervé-Ghesquière for La Communauté (about the town of Trappes, co-written with Raphaëlle Bacqué, Albin Michel, 2018).
