Throughout the summer, the Boghossian Foundation offers creative summer courses for kids designed by its specialised partners of cultural animators. The courses are bilingual, in French and Dutch, and include free childcare in the mornings and evenings.

 

Notebook in bloom

From Monday 3 to Friday 7 July 2023 | 9 to 12 years old

This summer workshop for children focuses on nature and drawing. During a week, exploration of gardens, contemplation of nature and experimentation through a botanist’s notebook are on the programme. The children will discover the names of flowers, trees and plants and create engravings based on drawings, combining imagination and observation. In the heart of the city, the children take a poetic tour through the many gardens and parks of Brussels.

Under my roof

From Monday 10 to Friday 14 July 2023 | 8 to 10 years old

During a workshop at the Villa Empain, your children will become novelists, poets and authors of an imaginary story inspired by the history of the Art Deco house. Accompanied by the CIVA, they will discover hidden secrets and imagine a new story through illustrations. Between inspiration and fiction, they will create their own book and learn about layout, typography and binding.

My garden in colours

Between sensory walks, ephemeral works and natural weaving, the children explore quiet gardens and get inspired by nature to create their own art pieces. Strike the pose ! 

From Monday 21 to Friday 25 August 2023 | 8 to 10 years old

This summer workshop focuses on dance, architecture and photography. During a week, children will become dancers, choreographers, directors, spectators and photographers. In the heart of the Villa Empain, a jewel of Art Deco architecture, they will explore their bodies in movement and deploy their dances in timeless spaces.
